I’m excited to get back to writing more blog posts. Ever since I’ve been little, writing has been my jam. I would write short stories, plays, and books often. My little girl was a super creative being and the more I’ve worked on healing her over the past year, the more that has shifted in my business and started to come up again.

I see a lot of people posting these incredible content creation strategies. They map out every single post for the next month and while that is amazing for their business, it doesn’t work for everyone.

So if you’ve been that stuck girl, what do I post next, how should I frame this? Don’t worry. I’ve got you.

You probably want some strategy but also like a little intuition, right?

ME TOO, which is why I struggled for so long when everyone said to map out every single piece of everything you’re going to talk about or else you’ll die – I began to panic & burnout and didn’t want to talk about anything.

So I created a system that allows for both:

Step 1) Think about my business in quarters/seasons. This allowed me to roughly plan what I wanted to launch over the next year, where I wanted my business to go and allow me to develop a blueprint.

Step 2) Think about what offer was coming next. For example, if my Group Nutrition Program was launching in October, I would take September to break down each thing I focused on in that program. So one week I would do several live videos/Instagram stories/posts on Intermittent Fasting, the next week Keto, the week after that HIIT workouts, etc. I would show up with so much value & information. I know that right when I wake up I have a LOT of creativity, so I would brain dump potential live video topics and posts & go from there.

Step 3) Engagement. From there, I would ask people to engage on my live videos, comments, stories, and treat it like a party!! I spend lots of time asking questions and getting to know what my audience is struggling with and what they want BEFORE I create the program. You want people to get excited about your stuff, so start adding in more HYPE. Let people know you are working on a project, then that you have the outline for it, that it’s coming in 2 weeks, that they need to get excited, OMG it’s here. The more excitement and passion you create around it and do some teaser marketing, the more excitement around it, the more people want to be a part of something! I would ask a lot of questions that my ideal client was probably googling or had concerns about. Any questions that I get DM’d or asked, I save in a notes file and turn that into content verbatim. #lifehack You want people to say to you, OMG were you in my head?

Step 4) Sprinkle in STORY. People LOVE story & while you think you’ve shared your story a million times, chances are that not everyone has heard it, or they’ve maybe glanced through it. Rinse & Repeat it! Have several stories & share different pieces of them based on what you’ve been through and how that story relates to whatever topic you are sharing on.

I write Instagram captions most of the time on the fly, or randomly and save it in a note in my phone. If I’m feeling uninspired, I’ll re-share an old one. I look through my google doc on what I want to talk about each week & will do live videos around that, and sometimes I share something that is just on my heart. It’s my mix of strategy and intuition with posting.

I want it to have a flow but I also want it to come from my heart. I don’t force content, because if it feels forced, my audience receives that energy too.

Don’t be afraid to SELL YOUR SHIT. I spent so much time in this after I left my previous NWM company. I didn’t want to be sales-y so much to the point that I was NEVER SELLING ANYTHING.

Find a healthy balance, trust your gut, step into your power, and own that you’re a badass boss babe.
