I used to try so hard to out-heal life.
I thought everything happening around me was something broken inside of me that needed to be fixed. I didn’t realize it at the time, but the goal was always the same: how quickly can I escape this discomfort?
I’d call it healing. I’d call it inner work. I’d even call it growth.
But what I was really doing was resisting the very thing that was trying to teach me.
I’ve learned the hard way that discomfort is not a problem to fix.
Discomfort is an initiation.
When I first discovered somatic coaching, everything shifted. It taught me something no other tool had: that trying to fix your experience is what keeps you stuck in it. Your body can feel when you’re coming at it with an agenda. It knows when you’re trying to escape vs. when you’re choosing to be with what’s present.
And the wild part? Most of us try to get out of the very energy that created the pattern in the first place.
That’s why so many people get caught in process loops. Journaling, meditating, visualizing—still not feeling like anything’s actually changing. Because they’re trying to think their way out of something their nervous system needs to feel its way through.
Somatic coaching is about presence, not performance.
It’s the practice of showing up with your body, without an agenda to fix. It’s about allowing sensations to arise, be witnessed, and move through. That’s what creates real, sustainable transformation.
I’ve seen this shift everything—not just in myself, but in my clients.
When we stop forcing and start witnessing, healing moves faster.
Change integrates deeper.
And we stop abandoning ourselves in the name of growth.
So many people fear that if they actually feel what’s there—sadness, fear, shame, grief—it’ll swallow them whole. But the secret is this: when you presence what’s there, you move through it so much faster. Your body doesn’t want to hold on to pain. It just wants to be seen in it.
Now, when I use tools—breathwork, journaling, mindset work—I use them from a grounded place. I’m not trying to fix myself. I’m meeting myself.
That’s the difference.
And it’s the difference that makes all the difference.
Somatic coaching isn’t just about processing trauma or releasing old patterns—it’s about building capacity. The capacity to feel, to lead, to love, to rest, to take bold action and trust the risks that come with success.
It’s why I integrate somatic coaching with every 6-, 7-, and even 8-figure client I work with. Because you don’t outgrow this work. You expand into it.
If you’re a coach who wants to help your clients experience real transformation—or a leader who’s ready to hold more success without spiraling—this is the missing piece. And if you’re ready to add somatic coaching to your skillset or receive this kind of support in your own journey, dm me SOMATIC and I’ll send you the details.
